For guests attending the Oogie Boogie Bash, new concept art has been released previewing what the new Treat Trails and Villains Grove experience will be like. The treat trails will include characters from Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, Oogie Boogie from the Nightmare Before Christmas, and more. The Villains Grove will be a walk through experience at the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. The concept for the grove looks spooky and fun lit in blues, pinks, and purples. – https://wdwnt.com/2019/08/photos-new-concept-art-released-for-alice-in-wonderland-immersive-treat-trails-and-villains-grove-at-oogie-boogie-bash-in-disney-california-adventure/
Not only is Disneyland celebrating Halloween, but there is also a few items that celebrate the Dia de los Muertos holiday. New Minnie ears and a standard Ear hat have hit the shelves at the park. The Minnie ears have colorful skulls, floral designs, flowers along the top, and a large bow with cut out designs. The Eat hat says Dis de ls Muertos Celebracion on the ears and has a top hap, flowers, and a large colorful skull on the front of a black cap. – http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2019/08/15/whats-new-in-disneyland-resort-halloween-goodies-haunted-mansion-merch-and-a-refreshing-new-drink/#more-260446

Disney CEO Bob Iger, in an interview with CNBC this week, stated that he doesn’t think that the parks have a pricing issue, however they will not be raising the prices at the parks anytime soon. Iger also stated that a number of things lead to the lower attendance at Disneyland following the launch of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge including the fears of large crowds, only having the one attraction, and area hotels raising their prices. – https://twitter.com/ShowcaseWishes/status/1160944812939501570
The Lucky Fortune Cookery has updated their menu recently. The new menu does away with a lot of the customization of the old menu and offers standard meals like Teriyaki Check, Pork Ramen, Beef Bulgogi Wrap, and more. Hot Green Tea and Vietnamese Iced Coffee also join the menu under drinks. – http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2019/08/16/a-new-menu-arrives-at-lucky-fortune-cookery-in-disney-california-adventure/#more-261408
Mobile ordering continues to expand to more and more locations around the resort. The Golden Horseshoe is the latest addition. Through the app, you can order Golden Horseshoe staples like fish and chips, wings, loaded potato skins, and more! – http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2019/08/15/disneyland-resort-adds-another-dining-location-to-the-mobile-order-system/#more-261103
In the long line of new refreshing beverages that have come to the resort this summer, the Honeydew Agua Fresca is the newest member. The drink is a mix of honeydew and lime flavors and isn’t too sweet. It is available at Rancho del Zocalo for $5.99. – http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2019/08/13/photos-and-review-honeydew-agua-fresca-in-disneyland/#more-260116
The refurbishment of the Red Car Trolley at DCA has been extended. Disney has updated the calendar for the attraction and shows it down through 2020. The Trolley was previously scheduled to reopen sometime in 2020, most likely with the opening of Marvel Land next summer. There doesn’t seem to be any indications that it is going to Yesterland just yet, as the stations are currently getting upgrades during the downtime. – https://wdwnt.com/2019/08/red-car-trolley-at-disney-california-adventure-extends-refurbishment-through-2020/
Although we are not certain why, Frozen Live at the Hyperion has cut back to just one performance daily. Previously, the show played several times throughout the day. Currently, it is scheduled for one 5pm showing. No word on if this is part of the entertainment staffing cuts, the show’s popularity waning, or something else. – https://wdwnt.com/2019/08/photo-report-disney-california-adventure-8-11-19-crowds-mickey-missing-from-silly-symphony-swings-and-more/
In a move that some have felt was long overdue, the rock work around the entrance to Tomorrowland is starting to be removed. As with the other projects that have been happening around the park, this is part of what is left of Project Stardust. The curb in the area is also being lowered to match the rest of the hub and to make the area more accessible and friendly to higher crowds. – https://www.micechat.com/233816-disneyland-update-pumpkins-crowds-bees-buzz-into-disneyland/
If you won a prize from Disneyland, would you wait 30 years to collect? I sure wouldn’t! But Tamia Richardson from Edington, Alberta Canada won free tickets as part of Disneyland’s 30th anniversary, which gave away a different prize every 30 guests who entered the park. Tamia won the pair of tickets when she was only 14 years old. Ticket prices were only $16.50 back then, so it was a great deal! – https://www.micechat.com/233649-winner-of-disneylands-gift-giver-extraordinaire-claims-prize-after-30-years/
It isn’t even September and we are already getting a preview of some of the merchandise coming to the parks for the winter holiday season! The Christmas Tree Popcorn bucket will be coming, along with a Mickey Ornament Sipper, which looks like a red Mickey Ornament that you might put on the Christmas tree, except it is a sipper! Buffalo Plaid, Gingerbread and Peppermint Minnie ears will also be available. – http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2019/08/17/sneak-peek-gingerbread-minnie-ears-a-mickey-ornament-sipper-and-the-popcorn-bucket-coming-to-disneyland-for-christmas/#more-262230
