Some of you might have caught the Disney Parks live stream of the return of the Main Street Electrical Parade on Friday. If not, you can check out the broadcast on the Disney Parks YouTube channel. Most exciting for me is the limited-edition print and the hand-drawn Elliot image. Halloween is just around the corner and the merchandise coming to the Oogie Boogie Bash has been previewed! There will be themed t-shirts, of course a spirit jersey, hoodies, and ears! If pins are more your style, there will be a selection of those as well. Select media were invited to see an early showing of the new Villainous! show coming to Paradise Bay this Halloween. As we reported before, the show will follow a new character created specifically for the show, Shelley Marie. Shelley must decide on a costume for Halloween and wonders if she could be as strong as some of the Disney villains that she wants to dress as. She encounters the Queen, Ursula, Dr. Facilier, Hades, Jafar, Maleficent, and more. The Oogie Boogie Bash isn’t just going to cater to adults, there will be plenty for the kids as well! They can trick-or-treat with Mickey and Friends in the Disney Theatre in Hollywood Land, play in the Villains Grove over at the Redwood Creek challenge trail with sound, lights and shadow. Halloweentime brings a lot of treats to the resort. The Graveyard cupcake is returning, along with the Sweet Potato Hand Pie. New this year is the Oogie Churro which is a churro rolled in Oreos, covered with green icing, gummy worms, and candies. The poisoned candy apple is also back, along with the Maleficent candy apple. With the Haunted Mansion’s 50th anniversary this week, there are some new items that will be available in the parks. Starting August 9th, then the mansion officially turns 50, some new apparel, collectibles, and accessories will debut. There are some “Host a Ghosts,” which are jars that have Constance, the Hatbox ghost, and others on them that light up? when you tap on them. Annual Passholders that use mobile ordering at the Tangaroa Terrace, Clarabelle’s Hand Scooped Ice Cream, Hollywood Lounge, Paradise Garden Grill, Lucky Fortune Cookery, Bayside Brews, Corn Dog Castle, or Award Wieners, can get exclusive buttons! The buttons are themed to the location where the mobile ordering took place. There is now an on-the-go mobile ordering option for Fantasmic! As it we needed more things to eat while we are in the parks, new Gyro fries have appeared at the Paradise Garden Grill. Fuel Rods have been available in the park for a long time now with the promise that you pay once and get unlimited exchanges of your depleted fuel rod for a fully charged fuel rod. Outside of Disneyland, the Fuel Rod company has started charging $1-$3 for exchanges. A new sipper has some to Alien Pizza Planet in Tomorrowland. The Alien themed sipper comes with a straw and handle for easy use while jetting off all over the park.
