The Pop-Up Disney! A Mickey Celebration will run through labor day Disney recently announced. It may seem like a lot, but somehow the Millenium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run attraction in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has welcomed it’s 1 millionth guest! The luck guests were the Ridgeway family from Ocean Springs, Miss. The family of 4 got to meet with Chewbacca in the main hold before the ride and were treated to free blue and green milk. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2019/07/1-millionth-rider-on-millennium-falcon-smugglers-run-at-star-wars-galaxys-edge-in-disneyland-park/
One of the complaints about Galaxy’s Edge when it debuted was the lack of atmospheric music. This seems to be changing ever so slightly as some of the sounds from the Cantina and Docking Bay 7 have been expanded into the areas around the establishments. – https://www.micechat.com/231312-disneyland-update-64-with-more-and-more/
Some of the popular items in Glaxy’s Edge have been restocked this week. Most colors of Kyber crystals and droid personality chips are now back in stock and ready for purchase. – https://www.micechat.com/231312-disneyland-update-64-with-more-and-more/
As the 2020 opening date looms, Marvel Land construction is shifting into high gear. The area in front of Mission Breakout has been placed behind construction walls causing the queue for the attraction to have a different configuration. The building that will house the upcoming Spider Man attraction is behind scrims and getting drywall installed. – https://www.micechat.com/231312-disneyland-update-64-with-more-and-more/
Last week Disneyland celebrated it’s 64th anniversary. The day included a “Happiest March on Earth” with the Dapper Dans, the resort Ambassadors, characters, the Disneyland Band and more. There were also cupcakes and other sweets on hand for the event. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2019/07/disneyland-celebrates-64-years-of-magic/

The Mint Julep bar has yet another new flavor of beignet. The new Sour Cherry beignet is the classic pastry, but covered in sour cherry sugar. There is no dipping sauce with this one and it might need it. Reports are that this is just a little too sour by itself. – http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2019/07/20/review-pucker-your-lips-for-the-new-sour-cherry-beignets-in-disneyland/#more-255031
A new place to pick up some grub has opened in Frontierland. The new pretzel cart has taken up residence near Big Thunder Mountain and Galaxy’s Edge. Seems like a great place to catch a quick snack on the way to a galaxy far, far away. – http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2019/07/18/whats-new-in-disneyland-birthday-treats-ap-refillable-tumblers-and-a-new-pretzel-cart/
The Disney Food Blog pointed out this week that some of the restaurants around Walt Disney World and Disneyland have put their menus, including allergy information, online.
