Last Friday, Pixar Pier was finally completed with the opening of the Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind! The repurposed Flik’s Flyers from a bug’s land has returned in a stunning fashion. The theming and atmosphere of the new attraction is amazing and more encompassing than the old attraction. It is so nice to have something in this area of the park that has been vacant since the Maliboomer left years ago. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2019/06/take-a-sense-ational-spin-around-inside-out-emotional-whirlwind-now-open-at-pixar-pier-in-disney-california-adventure-park/
June 20th will be a day long remembered for me as the Pixar Pals parking structure finally opened to the public for parking! The new structure allows for more than 5,000 new parking spaces for guests, with a new electronic parking system and an additional entrance on Magic Way. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2019/06/pixar-pals-parking-structure-opens-at-disneyland-resort-june-30/
A very popular new set of ears have hit the parks and immediately sold out. The new Mermaid ears have purple shells for the eats and a aqua colored sequined bow. Just days after they hit the shelves, the Disney Food Blog reported on Twitter that they are sold out all over the resort. – http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2019/06/29/new-mermaid-headband-swims-and-sparkles-into-disneyland/#more-249573
The Happy Haunts have joined Honest Abe in the Opera House on Main Street this week to celebrate 50 years of the Haunted Mansion. Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls Disneyland proudly presents the return of a spectacular festival pageant of nighttime magic and imagination, in thousands of sparkling lights, an electro-syntho-magnetic musical sounds, The Main Street Electrical Parade! Yes, the fan favorite is returning yet again since it glowed away forever back in 1996. It will light up the night again from August 2nd to September 30th. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2019/06/summer-shines-even-brighter-at-disneyland-resort-with-return-of-main-street-electrical-parade/?CMP=SOC-DPFY19Q3wo0627190703190018C
Speaking of parades, Mickey’s Soundsational Parade is coming to and end. The last performance will be on July 17th. It is an interesting move retiring this parade just months after it added two new floats for Mickey’s 90th celebration. No word yet on what will replace it, if anything. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2019/06/last-chance-for-a-soundsational-summer-at-disneyland-resort/
Savi’s Workshop in Galalxy’s Edge is now selling parts to modify your lightsaber once you have created it. Previously only the parts that were used to build your saber were available, but now you can buy additional parts to make variations on your own. The parts are $20 per set and can be purchased from the Gatherer’s that are outside of Savi’s Workshop. – http://blogmickey.com/2019/06/guests-reportedly-able-to-purchase-additional-lightsaber-parts-at-savis-workshop-in-star-wars-galaxys-edge/

As we discussed last week, the new bar at the Grand Californian is nearing completion and should open at any time! The new area looks great and has plenty of seating and great evening lighting. The new bar includes natural boulder stonework, a custom mural, and a trellis for shade and lighting at night. Not only are there chairs and tables, but there are also sofas and craftsman style lighting fixtures. – http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2019/07/01/first-look-new-pool-bar-at-disneys-grand-californian-hotel/
Did you know that you can get a chimichanga at Disneyland? How about a breakfast chimichanga? The new breakfast version is filled with bacon, egg, and cheese. The chimichanga is $5.92 with tax and is available at the turkey leg card by Big Thunder. If you want a standard chimichanga, they are usually sold at the turkey leg outdoor vending locations. – http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2019/06/26/review-new-hearty-breakfast-chimichanga-in-disneyland/#more-248713
A new hotdog variation is available now. The Main “Street” Dog is a very large all-beef hotdog, topped with bacon slices, avocado mayo, sauteed peppers and onions. Served with your choice of chips or apple slices. This thing is HUGE and can be purchased at the Refreshment Corner for $11.49 before tax. – http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2019/06/30/pics-and-review-main-street-dog-now-available-in-disneyland/#more-249711
A guest spotted an Adventures by Disney poster in the queue for the Jungle Cruise this week. Hard to tell if this is great theming and cross promotion, or just going to far. – https://twitter.com/EPCATDork/status/1145480978225233920
