The Lunar New Year celebration in California Adventure has kicked off and will run through February 17th. It is a great opportunity to see the Three Little Pigs who are rarely in the parks. In the past, Valentines Day has not been heavily celebrated at Disneyland, but this year has made up for all other other years! Hearts are everywhere on Main Street. There is a Minnie Scavenger Hunt, decorations, and of course, food. Even you taste buds can join in the Valentines celebration. Seasonal offerings like a strawberry beet salad, southern pork belly sliders, a roasted vegetable spring roll, or the molcajete platter can be found through out the resort. There are also many sweet treats like double chocolate fritters, burning love Valentine’s churros, and even chocolate tamales. After a little over a year, Mickey’s Soundsational Parade has returned with a couple new floats to celebrate Mickey’s 90th birthday. In a continuing effort to be more environmentally aware, Disneyland has debuted new reusable shopping bags. The bags come in three sizes and range in price from $1 for the smallest option, to $2 for the largest option. A new souvenir popcorn bucket will be floating into the parks starting on February 1st. The special edition Steamboat Willie Balloon popcorn bucket will be available for a limited time and is only for Annual Passholders. Calling all Anaheim Ducks fans! To celebrate their 25th Anniversary, on Monday February 11th the Anaheim Ducks will be taking over Hollywood Land at DCA. The day will be filled with meet and greets, hockey-themed activities, photo opportunities, special decor, merchandise, sweet treats and more! The refurbishment of Sleeping Beauty Castle is continuing with the last view of the highest spires visible for a short time longer.
