News this Week:
In a bit of sad news, DCA will not be the same during your next visit to the parks. As of September 4th, our favorite insects over in Bugs Land have officially been exterminated to make way for the new Marvel land. A moment of silence for Flick, Atta, Dot, Francis, Slim, Gypsy, Manny, Rosie, Tuck and Roll and of course Heimlich!
Disneyland has announced blockout dates for next August… meaning annual passholders can now make plans to see Galaxy’s Edge without purchasing an additional ticket. Deluxe annual passholders will be able to get a first look on Monday August 19. Southern California Passholders can get in a week later. – https://www.mouseplanet.com/12184/Disneyland_Resort_Update_for_September_4__10_2018#news2

Like it or not, Disneyland is going to start serving alcohol in the parks outside of Club 33 for the first time in resort history. Guests will be able to buy the themed drinks In Galaxy’s Edge when it opens. They do come with a restriction. The alcohol cannot leave Oga’s Cantina where it can be purchased. – https://www.ocregister.com/2018/09/03/is-disney-making-a-mistake-by-selling-alcohol-at-disneyland/
Mobile ordering is expanding to more locations across DCA and Disneyland. Bayside Brews at Disney California Adventure park, as well as Harbour Galley and Tiki Juice Bar at Disneyland park began offering mobile ordering last week. This is not a drill, Dole Whip is now available with the touch of a button! Next month expect to see mobile ordering expand even further to include Edelweiss Snacks, Stage Door Café, Refreshment Corner and Royal Street Veranda at Disneyland park. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2018/08/mobile-ordering-expands-to-seven-new-locations-at-disneyland-resort/
