The Haunted Mansion is currently closed and being transformed into the holiday favorite, Haunted Mansion Holiday. However this year there seems to be a little extra work going on in front of the Mansion. Construction walls are up along the outside fence of the attraction to remove some obstructions. The mansion is located on the main pathway to Galaxy’s Edge and there is concern with how congested the area may become. Some photos have been shared online showing that the mansion’s front lawn has been ripped out! Our fingers are crossed they are just using this opportunity to redo the lawn. – https://micechat.com/204375-disneyland-update-things-that-go-bump-in-the-light/

The concept art for the 2018 Haunted Mansion Holiday ginger bread house has been revealed! This years gingerbread house will appear that it is being lifted from its foundation by a giant spider. Through Disney magic, you will be able to watch the giant spider bob up and down with the house. Also be on the look out for some neat details such as glowing spider eyes, moving mandibles, flickering Christmas lights and some fun black light affects. – https://micechat.com/204193-disneyland-resort-update-theyve-come-to-suck-your-blood/

Disney has released a foodies guide to Halloween time at the resort for this year. The Disney Food Blog followed up with some of their opinions of the new offerings. We will have a link to both in the show notes, but we are going to touch on a few of the items and our opinions now. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2018/08/foodie-guide-to-halloween-time-2018-at-disneyland-resort/ and http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2018/08/23/spooky-halloween-snacking-for-halloween-time-at-disneyland-resort/#more-198116

With so many delicious foods coming to the resort for Halloween time, it will be hard to keep track. The Disney Food blog has you covered. They have created a printable Halloween Time checklist to help you make sure you don’t miss anything! The list is broken down by park, and then by location or restaurant. Some spooky new Haunted Mansion merchandise is hitting the shelves soon. Some of these items include a working grandfather clock that is similar to the one in the attraction, an apron that is reminiscent of the cast member uniforms, stretch painting figures, and more. For Halloween, there is a really cool Jack Skellington shirt that has Sleeping Beauty Castle in the background in the style of Nightmare. Other items include candy corn Minnie Ears, high quality Halloween costumes, and some new Haunted Mansion mugs. – https://micechat.com/204193-disneyland-resort-update-theyve-come-to-suck-your-blood/

You don’t have to venture into the parks to get some halloween merchandise, World of Disney Too, in Downtown Disney, is now all Halloween Merchandise. Items here include tee shirts, trick or treat buckets, Mickey Ears and more. – https://micechat.com/204193-disneyland-resort-update-theyve-come-to-suck-your-blood/

The Disneyland Donut cart, near Sleeping Beauty Castle, has been coming out with some unique, Disney themed creations. Their newest creation, the Avalanche Donut, is no exception. Topped with chunks of coconut macaroon, this light and fluffy yeast donut might be big enough for you to share. The donut has a vanilla glaze and is finished with some toasted coconut. As if that wasn’t enough, it is also served with a miniature Matterhorn macaroon! – http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2018/08/23/will-you-fall-for-the-avalanche-donut-at-disneylands-donut-cart/#more-198119
