Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge isn’t even here yet and we are already talking about the next big thing for the resort. Plans have leaked online for the upcoming Marvel Land attraction for Spider-Man. The leaked images show a ride system similar to that of Toy Story Midway Mania. Last week, the reservation system opened for guests to get a time slot to enter Galaxy’s Edge in the first few weeks of operation. The system launched with very few hiccups. The biggest issue seemed to come when guests needed to add additional members to their reservation and it not being clear enough. Disney has worked with guests that had this issue on a case by case basis. In just under two hours, all the reservations were allotted. There is certainly going to be a lot of lines in Galaxy’s Edge, but if you want to get food at Docking Bay 7, Ronto Roasters, or the Milk Stand, you can skip the line and use mobile ordering. The Orange County Register this week found some patents that give away the names of the upcoming beverages in Galaxy’s Edge. Some of the items include the White Wampa Wheat, Bad Motivator IPA, Gold Squadron Lager, and Gamorian and Trandocian Ales. With the popular Star Wars Day of May the 4th, Hyperspace Mountain has returned. The emotional whirlwind attraction themed to Inside Out in Pixar Pier is getting closer and closer to opening. This week the center of the ride system and some of the guest vehicles have arrived on site. For the past month, the back patio section of the Hungry Bear Restaurant in Critter Country has been closed off to guests, with a lot of questions on what is going on back there. We know now that a shade structure is being installed into this extended patio area. As May charges along, the Sleeping Beauty Castle refurbishment continues. It should be wrapping up just in time for Galaxy’s Edge at the end of the month. The scrims around Red Rockets Pizza Port have confirmed that the temporary name change to Pizza Planet for Pixar Fest is going to be permanent when the walls come down from the exterior refurbishment. Even if the Gods are angered by all the celebrating, it won’t matter if you have the new Enchanted Tiki Room inspired rain gear. The new gear includes an umbrella with Jose on the handle, and a rain coat. As we talked about a few weeks ago, the outdoor seating area for the Carthay Circle Lounge has been completed. The area is small, but fits in a few tables that are separated from the main guest flow by some potted plants. A friendly reminder that if you are going to be visiting the resort in the next few weeks that Grad Nights will begin at the resort on May 10th. Last week the smoking ban went into effect. We wanted to update you if you needed a smoke break while visiting the park where you could go to do so. The official Disneyland app states that smoking is not allowed in Disneyland, California Adventure, Downtown Disney, or the Esplanade. MiceChat posted a rumor about changes that could be coming to Tomorrowland, and does it sound exciting! Rumored changes include installation of the popular Tron coaster that is in Shanghai Disneyland and coming to the Magic Kingdom in 2021, removal of the People Mover tracks, an unspecified change to Space Mountain, removal or shortening of the Monorail, and more.
