Guests with hotel accommodations for the Disney Resort Hotels have started to get email notifications about their Galaxy’s Edge reservations. The reservations are for 4 hour blocks and are randomly assigned by Disney. Each registered guest is given the same reservation time slot. If you are not staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel, details will be released on May 2nd at 8am Pacific on how the system will work for that, with reservations opening at 10am that same day. – https://wdwnt.com/2019/04/guests-with-disneyland-resort-hotel-bookings-to-receive-reservation-times-for-star-wars-galaxys-edge-via-email-today/

The internet is abuzz with people concerned about the Adventureland sign that was removed last week. The sign is coming back, so there is no need to worry. The sign was removed in order to increase guest flow through this area. There was no way to remove the support of the sign without re-working the sign, which required it to be removed. In its place is an old Adventureland sign that was at the exit to the Jungle Cruise in the 70s and 80s. – https://wdwnt.com/2019/04/photos-adventureland-marquee-removed-temporary-new-signage-now-in-place-at-disneyland-park/ and http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2019/04/22/historic-disneyland-sign-posted-in-adventureland-as-marquee-undergoes-restoration/

We had spoken about this before, but it has been confirmed this week by Disney that Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is coming to Toontown in 2022. The new attraction entrance will be where the Gag factory is currently located and the attraction itself will take over space currently home to backstage buildings. The movement of the backstage departments is delaying the construction for this project to get started. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2019/04/mickey-minnies-runaway-railway-to-roll-into-disneyland-park/

This year’s Environmentality Art challenge is on display over at the Redwood Creek Challenge trail in DCA. In celebration of Earth Day, cast members use their imaginations and create different pieces of art our of recyclable materials. This years display included Java the Cup (a Starbucks like logo featuring Java the Hutt and made out of plastic cups), the Swiss Family Robinson’s Treehouse made out of wine corks, and Saving Nemo which was a simple piece but effective. It showed a frightened Dory and Marlin surrounded by plastic waste in the ocean. – https://www.micechat.com/222671-disneyland-update-sign-of-the-times/
