News this Week:
We have some exciting podcast news to start this week! We have booked our hotel for the D23 expo in August. James with ConciEARS has worked tirelessly to get us booked at the best hotel in our price range. ConciEARS was able to get us booked at the Howard Johnson hotel with a theme park view! So, now we just need to get our park tickets for the event and we will be all booked up. Working with James and ConciEARS has been a wonderful experience and we highly recommend working with them to get your travel booked. They have the patience of a saint as we have been working with James to make sure that we had the perfect place to stay. Also, our trip had a lot of complicated requirements and they were able to handle all of that with ease. – http://www.conciears.com/
Tiki Day was celebrated in Disneyland this past Sunday. Many guests dressed up in their tiki best to celebrate the unofficial holiday. Even though the Tiki Room was closed for refurbishments, it didn’t seem to dampen the spirit of the day. – https://micechat.com/207574-disneyland-photo-updates-fall-into-construction-walls/
If you have been waiting for the Enchanted Tiki room to return, the wait should be over. By the time the show posts the attraction should be open in Adventureland. We hope that it has returned a little freshened up and ready to serve guests for years to come. – https://micechat.com/207574-disneyland-photo-updates-fall-into-construction-walls/
Over near the Matterhorn, where there is a TON of work going on with the new queue, the Motorboat Cruise Dock (Fantasia Gardens) is undergoing refurbishment. This could be more clearing and prep for Galaxy’s Edge next year, but nothing solid has surfaced. – https://micechat.com/207574-disneyland-photo-updates-fall-into-construction-walls/
Also in this area is the renovation of the outside of the Small World Toy Shop. Currently, it is covered in scrims while it is repainted. – https://micechat.com/207574-disneyland-photo-updates-fall-into-construction-walls/
Chip N’ Dale’s Tree House has re opened. During the refurbishment, the staircase and fence rails were replaced and everything has a nice fresh coat of paint. – https://micechat.com/207574-disneyland-photo-updates-fall-into-construction-walls/
A water main break over in Tomorrowland caused some issues this past Friday. The break happened between the Launch Bay and Pizza Planet causing the restaurant to close for most of the day and it also flooded the Cosmic Waves planter area. Crews worked to quickly solve the problem and to clean up. – https://micechat.com/207574-disneyland-photo-updates-fall-into-construction-walls/
After a half a day of delays, the Earl of Sandwich finally reopened in Downtown Disney on Monday. The delays were caused by waiting for food permits to be approved. At around 12:30, it was finally given the OK to open. – https://www.ocregister.com/2018/09/28/grand-reopening-set-for-the-earl-of-sandwich-at-disneyland-resort/
Have you been waiting for the popcorn cauldron to return? Well, it’s back. There seems to be plenty in stock around the resort at this time, so if you really want one, you should get one as soon as you can. – https://micechat.com/207574-disneyland-photo-updates-fall-into-construction-walls/
