Construction on the Esplanade is bringing temporary changes to the guest arrival experience. Costuming has replaced the themed “Department of Damage Control” custodial costumes in Avengers Campus with standard white custodial uniforms. Downtown Disney continues to see significant construction activity. Work is underway on the future Arthur & Sons and Pearl’s Roadside BBQ locations, construction continues at Porto’s Bakery, the former Jamba location is being converted into Bopo Go, and exterior refurbishment is taking place at the Salt & Straw/WonderGround Gallery building. Magic Happens is returning to Disneyland in 2027, and the parade floats have already made their way back to the resort. Disney shared video of the floats traveling through Anaheim and arriving backstage at Disneyland. Following the recent reopening of the Primeval World diorama, Disneyland has now completed work on the Grand Canyon Diorama aboard the Disneyland Railroad. The refresh includes updated lighting effects that simulate a sunrise with distant lightning, along with softer thunder sound effects.
