It’s Disneyland’s anniversary month and that means we need to celebrate. And what better way than trying some celebration food in the park. Some of the bites include a Mickey-shaped Chocolate Donut, a birthday cookie box, Walt’s Chili Cheese Fries, and more. There’s also some souvenirs, like The Mighty Thor’s Hammer which holds a drink or a Birthday Ear bowl for some ice cream. This month also celebrates Oga’s Birthday back in Galaxies Edge with some drinks, a new sushi roll and other food offerings. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2022/07/whats-cooking-at-disneyland-resort-this-july/
Zom-Beatz Bash is a 20-minute interactive stage show where you’ll dance and sing-along with music from the Disney Channel films ZOMBIES and ZOMBIES 2. This is all ahead of the release of ZOMBIES 3 on Disney Plus July 15th and later on the Disney Channel. You can find life again at the Downtown Disney LIVE! stage at 2, 3, and 4 in the afternoon July 29-31. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2022/07/zom-beatz-bash-comes-to-downtown-disney-disney-springs/
Soon there will be no more having to remember where you park when you visit the park with your car. An update the the DisneyLand app will add a “Where’s my car” feature. Guests can use location technology on their phones to enter their car location and pull it up again at the end of the night. It works best with phone features like bluetooth, location services and notifications. There isn’t a confirmed roll out date for Disneyland other than “this year.” We will get to see how it works over in Disney World some time this summer. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2022/07/wheres-my-car-new-app-feature-coming-to-disney-parks/
Guests looking to prove they’re worthy can try their hand at picking up Mjolnir alongside the Mighty Thor. Jane Foster’s version of the hero is making appearances in the park near the Ancient Sanctum. Grab a photo and grab the handle of the mythical hammer to see if you’re mighty enough to wield it too. – https://www.micechat.com/326769-disneyland-news-update-subs-return-crowd-hack-thor-hammer/
A quick update on the refurbishment schedule. Haunted will go down on August 15 until it reopens on September 1 with the Haunted Mansion Holiday Overlay. That same day, Monsters Inc. over in DCA will also be going down for some TLC. There is no known date for it to reopen or if there are any changes beyond regular maintenance. – https://www.micechat.com/326769-disneyland-news-update-subs-return-crowd-hack-thor-hammer/

A new docu-series will take us behind the scenes of films from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. “Light and Magic” is a 6-part series that will talk about the origins and evolution of Industrial Light and Magic, the visual effects company that helped bring us Star Wars, Indiana Jones and so much more. It’s directed by Lawrence Kasden, a oscar-nominated writer who worked across the Star Wars trilogies and much more. It starts streaming on Disney Plus on July 27. – https://dlnewstoday.com/2022/07/trailer-released-for-six-part-docuseries-light-magic-coming-soon-to-disney/
